I made my way down to the Brunswick LGBTQ+ Centre in Halifax last week! It was so nice to meet El, Izzy, and Matthew and get to hear about all the fantastic work they are doing to support the LGBTQ+ community in Halifax, encouraging a positive life free of stigma and full of support!❤️
The centre started by focusing on HIV support and prevention. Today, the charity also offers various support groups and counselling services. I am especially impressed by their youth services. The centre runs weekly youth sessions, 6-week group workshops as well as family support for relatives⭐️
