I'm Kate Dearden, your MP here in Halifax.

Every day it's an honour to work for our community. You elected me with a promise of change. From the conversations I have with residents I know things are still hard, but we're starting to see change and the impact of a Labour Government.

Whether that's in the 7 million extra appointments in our NHS, 8 new police officers for Calderdale, £1.8 million given to our area to fill potholes, a wage boost for 3 million of the lowest paid workers, or the over £25,000 I've personally returned for constituents, know it's just the start – I'll always fight for Halifax.
