It was great to visit the McVitie’s bakery on Hopwood Lane to hear about their long and proud history of cake production here in Halifax.

Thanks to all the staff for giving me a tour of the bakery and for indulging my appetite – I couldn’t resist tasting one of my favourites, a freshly baked Jamaica Ginger cake.
