It was an honour to be asked to speak by Halifax Ukrainian Club – Uky Club at their Independence Day event today hosted by Halifax Minster.
It is a day to celebrate Ukrainian history, culture, and freedom but also a day to remember those currently fighting in a war for survival.
Our country is united in its support for the people of Ukraine, and I’m proud Halifax is home to such a vibrant and dedicated community.
