It was great to have Andys Man Club and its co-founder Elaine join us in Parliament this week for World Suicide Prevention day.

Elaine is Andy’s mum and founded the first club in Halifax just 8 years ago. Since then Andy’s Man Club has expanded across the country. Giving men a community when times are tough and creating a space where men can openly discuss their mental health.

This is so important given the crisis in men’s mental health, the leading cause of death for UK men under 50. I encourage everyone to support this amazing organisation, and if you’re a man who wants to talk, make sure to reach out to a club near you.
