It was lovely to see the Fairtrade Foundation and meet with Fairtrade coffee farmer Jenipher Sambazi in Parliament, and to hear about the importance of creating a fairer and more environmentally sustainable trade system.
In Halifax I was delighted to join constituents in celebrating 30 years of Fairtrade at our own Fairtrade cafe at Heath Church. I’m really proud that Halifax is a fairtrade town and look forward to continuing to champion efforts locally from our brilliant volunteers.
