Here in Halifax, we have many brilliant music venues that contribute significantly to our economy, and who provide an important space for emerging artists and our local talent. I was really pleased to be able to talk to the Minister for Media, Tourism and Creative Industries Chris Bryant MP about our small and large music venues (the beautiful The Piece Hall), and to share the feedback I have received from them, about what support they need from Government.
With our plans for capping secondary ticketing and our support for the levy on stadium and arena tickets, this Government is determined to work closely with industry to ensure our grassroots music sector and local talent thrives.
