Today I met with constituent and national road safety campaigner Dr Ian Greenwood after listening to an important Westminster Hall debate on Road Safety for Young Drivers. Campaigners like Ian, who tragically lost his daughter Alice due to a speeding driver, work tirelessly to raise awareness of dangerous driving and campaign to make our roads safer.

We discussed the action this Government is taking to improve road safety, including by implementing a road safety strategy and how we will tackle the devastating numbers of deaths we have seen locally on our roads.

Under Lilian Greenwood and Heidi Alexander for Swindon South‘s leadership, this Government will take the action needed to make our roads safer.
