It was great to attend the Groundbreaking ceremony at Overgate Hospice on Friday.

Overgate are building a new hospice to provide comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families during life’s most challenging moments, with expanded facilities and modern amenities.

The Big Build Appeal has raised an incredible amount towards the redevelopment. £11.5 million has now been raised for this project which is an amazing 90% of their fundraising target. I am delighted that Overgate will also benefit from £25 million of government funding released in February.

I will be continuing to support the hospice as it embarks on this new chapter
