It was a real privilege to meet students from The Crossley Heath School twice this month – first in Halifax, and then again during their visit to Parliament.
During my visit to the school, I enjoyed a tour of the beautiful building and a great conversation with Head Boy Lakshya, Head Girl Anaya, and students from the politics and debating society. We discussed life in politics, global issues, and how to get more young people involved in shaping the future.
Later in the month, I welcomed more Crossley Heath students to Parliament, where they presented thoughtful and creative manifestos on topics like education and technology.
I hope they enjoyed their visit as much as I enjoyed hearing their ideas – they certainly gave me plenty to think about!
