I hosted a Q+A and was so impressed by their brilliant questions from local housing and employment to how our democracy works day to day. It was clear how much the women had benefited from the course and wonderful to see how confident they were in raising the issues that matter to them.

The ESOL programme is doing such important work, helping people learn, connect, and feel part of life in the UK.

They packed loads into the day too: a full tour of Parliament, watching a live debate, and even a cruise on the Thames!

Lovely to spend time with you all and great to share the train home to Halifax!
